Yoga with Florida Orange Juice

Hey friends!

In case you missed it, at the end of June I attended BlogHer17 in Orlando at the Hilton Bonnet Creek! I was lucky enough to be invited to one of the BlogHer sponsored private events by Florida Orange Juice..yoga and breakfast!

Friday morning started super early as I headed towards the Disney area to get to the resort before 7am. First of all, the hotel is super nice. Of all my years living in Orlando and resort hopping the Disney hotels, this was one I had not had the chance to visit. I’m thinking a family staycation and Disney weekend is FOR SURE in order.

I made it to the hotel by 6:30 and had plenty of time to find where I was going, grab a coffee (#momlife), and checkin.

I chatted with other bloggers while we waited to enter the huge air conditioned tent just outside the conference area overlooking the golf course and walking paths.

Right at 7am we made our way into the event space and I picked out a mat in the middle row close to the instructor. I didn’t want to be front and center for this one!

While all the other ladies got settled I gave myself a chance to snap some picks before the class began.

Pants are the Tone It Up Bandier leggings..where my #TIUGirls at!?

Our instructor, Lauren read a message from Florida Citrus and then we began our practice!

She took us through an energizing flow with some toning moves..something I always appreciate! The class could have been completed on any level of experience..she provided modifications for those who needed them and instructed difficult poses for more advanced participants.

After the class we snacked on fresh Florida citrus, orange juice, and an array of breakfast pastries, yogurt, and of course coffee!

I couldn’t pass up the gorgeous citrus, so I topped a yogurt with fruit poured a hot coffee and picked at my Florida OJ snack bar while chatting with other bloggers.

Once breakfast concluded, I made my way back inside the hotel, checked in, and lounged for a few before exploring the conference for the day.

I was lucky enough to snag a spot to Joy Baur’s Healthy EPIsodes private event and cooking demonstration which was such a thrill to be in the presence of a dietitian I seriously admire. Next week I’ll share more of that event and the recipes she created for us!

Hope you enjoyed my yoga class and BlogHer17 recap. Does anyone else LOVE beginning the day with yoga as much as I do?!  I have really gotten into a weekly yoga practice.. Thank you again to Florida Orange Juice and BlogHer for inviting me to this awesome event! Namastay for now.. ?✌???

  1. Oh my gosh this looks like so much fun! I would have loved to attend. I want to get back to taking more classes in the studio but it just hasn’t worked out lately. I did get an email offering me a class to come back so maybe that’s a sign I need to do more yoga. haha

    1. It was! I always need more yoga haha! I feel so much better after I’ve done a workout! It’s hard to do classes at studios..especially if they don’t offer childcare. Have you ever done mommy and me yoga??

    1. You definitely have to!!

I was in a great yoga class a couple mornings per week and loved it (except the getting up extra early part). That class is no longer available locally, but I still do videos at home, which confuse my cats greatly…

    1. Aw that stinks, but home practice is so good too! And you can wake up a lil later! 😉

    1. Thanks Erica, it was! Aren’t they cute??
